Dylan, a 107-room hotel with style, located in the former
Chemists’ Club building at 52 East 41st Street, is setting the
standard for contemporary elegance.
Dylan’s interiors, by Jeffrey Beers of Jeffrey Beers
International, mark a deliberate departure from both the too
stark and overly hip designs currently prevalent in the high-end
boutique market. Beers has created a timeless look for the
property that redefines opulence for a new age while preserving
the landmark-quality architecture of the 1903 Beaux-Arts
structure.
The color palette features rich tones like amethyst, jade,
emerald, opal and amber. Fabrics are soft and luxurious: velvet,
suede, silk, mohair, and chiffon. The grandeur of the Dylan’s
public areas is evident from the moment one passes through the
glass entryway. With 11-foot ceilings, the guest rooms feel more
spacious than the average Manhattan hotel room. The design is
quiet and tailored without being austere. Warm white and
pale-blue walls, deep amethyst and steel-blue carpeting,
sapphire taffeta drapes and sheers, and custom, ebony-stained
furniture combine to create a tranquil environment. The
bathrooms are faced with white Carrara cut-marble and feature
Italian-porcelain bowl-style sinks.
In-room amenities include; 27-inch Sony television, two-line
telephones with voicemail and dataport, high-speed Internet
access, refreshment centers, personal safes, bathrobes and
slippers; and iron and ironing boards. Guest services include
room service, complimentary newspaper, 24-hour fitness center
and business services upon request. Meeting and Event conference
space that can accommodate up to 50 persons is located on the
third floor. Catering for corporate and social events is
available.
Situated in midtown Manhattan, Dylan Hotel is a tranquil oasis
steps away from everything that New York City has to offer. Near
Grand Central Station, Fifth Avenue shopping, Park Avenue,
Bryant Park, the Fashion District and close to all New York City
attractions, business and financial centers.
